Our ageing furnace failed, and Riel was able to diagnose in less than 5 minutes that the heat exchanger was cracked. We discussed options with him, and decided to replace both the furnace and old hot water tank. Riel and I probably talked for 20-30 minutes after this, so that I could learn about the latest in furnace and hot water tech; he was incredibly knowledgeable and obviously really cared about being up-to-date in the space. They were able to send Simon later that day to assess the replacement and give us quotes and options. Simon was also very knowledgeable, and, like others have said, he clearly explained the options available and made no attempt to oversell or upsell. A few weeks later, Dustin and Tayvin (and one other fellow whose name I didn't catch) installed the new furnace and water heater over two days. Their work was clean, they were open to me poking around and seeing how things were progressing as they worked (and were always happy to chat about where they were at), and left the jobsite in great shape. Rob's Albertan was excellent to work with from start to finish - great communication, prompt, and they always arrived when they said they would. 2026-08-07 update: Service is still great. Brandon G. has done our annual maintenance the last two years and is always efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable.
