Tankless Water Heaters
  • Do not come with storage tanks, and fit snuggly on a wall mount.
  • Heat up when needed, and offer an endless supply of hot water by managing water flow.
  • Utilize less energy than conventional units, making them more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Starting From

$36/month

Electric Water Heaters
  • Heating coils are used instead of natural gas to provide hot water for home.
  • Normally take up less space than a natural gas water heater because there is no need to vent it.
  • Are made up of a smaller number of parts than a natural gas water heater, so they can typically operate longer than a natural gas water heater.

Starting From

$13/month

Condensing Water Heaters
  • Comparable to standard units in that they both burn gas, have exhaust flues, and hold hot water in an insulated tank.
  • Condensation and combustion gas exit through an outlet at the bottom of the water heater tank.
  • Use less energy than conventional systems because of how the water is heated, making them more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Starting From

$40/month

Conventional Vents (CV)
  • Normally installed in homes built before 2000 (and typically have a built-in chimney) making them one of the more commonly utilized water heaters in Edmonton.
  • Keep a supply of hot water available all the time so that when you turn on the faucet, it's prepared.
  • Need an exit drain near the base of tank (usually in the basement).
  • Good for high volume hot water usage.
  • Can be operated by either propane gas or natural gas.

Starting From

$16/month

Power Vents (PV)
  • Normally installed in homes built following 1995 in homes without a chimney, or homes that have changed from a different water heating source, making them one of the more generally used water heaters in Edmonton.
  • Blower motor is connected to the tank and forces gas from inside the home via the side wall.
  • Usually provide extended venting lengths.
  • Fueled by either propane gas or natural gas.

Starting From

$26/month

Direct Vents (DV)
  • Used where there is insufficient combustible air or where air is incompatible for combustion (ex: bathroom or bedroom installs).
  • Usually give you lower heating costs since the gases are vented by rising and no further power is required.
  • Require less power as a result of venting, making them more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Starting From

$28/month

Power Direct Vents (PDV)
  • Comparable to Direct Vents, but instead have a two-pipe system for gas release.
  • Utilize a blower to remove gases, meaning they do not need to be installed specifically where they can vent upwards (ex: near a chimney).
  • Ideal option if indoor air quality or negative air pressure is a concern.

Starting From

$31/month
